A “pre-wedding glow” IV is the most-requested drip in Cabo’s destination-wedding circuit, and for good reason: it stacks rapid hydration, antioxidants, and the B-vitamins that make skin look brighter on camera. Here’s what to expect from the appointment itself, what’s in the drip, and the realistic timing in the days before the ceremony.
What “pre-wedding glow” actually means in a bag
A glow drip is a wellness Myers-style cocktail tuned for skin, energy and calm. The standard build:
- 1 L of isotonic fluid — the rehydration foundation. Most brides are mildly dehydrated by wedding week between travel, prep events and the heat.
- B-complex + B12 — for energy and mental clarity on a high-stress week.
- Vitamin C 5–10 g — antioxidant support, collagen co-factor, immune kicker.
- Biotin — hair, skin, nails support.
- Glutathione 1–2 g — the headline ingredient for “glow.” Master antioxidant; many patients describe a visible skin clarity bump within 24–48 hours.
- Magnesium 1 g — calms the nervous system; supports sleep the night after.
What it actually feels like
Forty-five minutes on a couch with a small IV in the back of your hand or forearm. You’ll feel a cool sensation along the arm as the fluid runs in, taste a faint vitamin flavor when the B-complex starts, and (if glutathione is included) might feel mildly more relaxed by the second half of the bag. Most brides catch up on phone calls, watch a show, or nap. The nurse stays the whole time.
Afterward: bright-yellow urine for a day (riboflavin), a noticeable energy lift that night, and sleep that feels more solid than the previous few nights of wedding-week stress. The skin effect — if you’re going to see one — tends to show up around the 24–48 hour mark.
Best timing in the wedding week
| When | What it does | Worth it? |
|---|---|---|
| 5–7 days before | Resets travel fatigue, locks in baseline hydration. | Yes if you’ve just flown in. |
| 2–3 days before | Sweet spot for skin glow on the wedding day. | Yes — primary glow window. |
| Morning of | Hydration + energy + calm before the ceremony. | Yes for the hydration; skip vitamin C add-on if you didn’t sleep well (acid stomach). |
| Morning after | Recovery drip with extra magnesium and ondansetron if needed. | Yes — book it before the wedding so it’s locked in. |
The most common Cabo bride pattern: one glow drip 2–3 days out, one hydration top-up the morning of, one recovery drip the day after.
For the groom and wedding party
The same drips work for grooms (often more focused on sleep + clarity than glow), bridesmaids (we’ll often do a group session in the bridal suite), and the rehearsal-dinner-hangover crew the next morning. Group sessions are common — up to six lines running simultaneously in a villa or hotel suite.
What not to do
- Don’t start anything new on wedding day. Try the glow drip 2–3 days out first; if you’re sensitive to any ingredient (biotin can cause acne flares in rare cases) you want time to know.
- Don’t skip the medical intake. Especially if you’re on birth control, antidepressants, or have any history of allergies.
- Don’t combine with self-tan on the same arm. The IV site can show up as a clear circle for a day or two; plan around it.
- Don’t expect Botox-level results. A glow drip is hydration and antioxidants. It’s not a procedure.

What’s in a pre-wedding glow IV?
1 L isotonic fluid, B-complex with B12, 5–10 g vitamin C, biotin, 1–2 g glutathione, 1 g magnesium. Tuned for skin, energy and calm.
When should I get a glow drip before my wedding?
2–3 days before the ceremony is the sweet spot for skin. A second hydration drip the morning of, and a recovery drip the morning after, is the full Cabo bride pattern.
Will I see a visible glow?
Skin clarity improvements typically show up 24–48 hours after a glutathione-included drip. Effect is modest and additive, not transformative on its own.
Can I get glow IVs in a group with my bridesmaids?
Yes — group sessions are common. We can run up to six lines simultaneously in a villa or suite.
Do you come to my hotel or villa in Cabo?
Yes, across Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor and Pedregal. We coordinate around your hair-and-makeup timing.
